Current grades 6th-8th and *9th-12th (EXPERIENCED PLAYERS ONLY)

Location: Court One (9100 S. McKemy St., Tempe, AZ 85254)

The upcoming MIDDLE Hitters Academy is a 5-day series with sessions offered on Saturday mornings for experienced players. This Academy will provide you technically sound training with tools/drills you need to continue your progression to master the MIDDLE position.

*Per AIA rules, high school players CANNOT participate if playing on high school team.

Program Info

Janeliss Johnson-Torres, former NCAA Division I collegiate Middle Hitter/Blocker at the University of Arkansas, as well as professional player with Leonas Ponce of Puerto Rico, is the featured coach for this series. Janeliss led EVJs 14 Elite team this past club season.

SKILL LEVEL GUIDELINES

Level V (11th-12th)
Level IV (8th-11th)
Level III (7th-10th)
Level II (6th-8th)
**Understand these are guidelines, not everyone will fall into a category exactly, do you your best at selecting a Level. If you have any questions feel free to contact us, see below***

Level V (College Prep)

11th-12th Grade
Players who qualify for our Level V program have an elite skill set and are either committed to a collegiate program or are in the recruiting process with the intent to pursue a collegiate career.

Level IV (Elite)

8th-11th Grade
Players who qualify for our Level IV program have an advanced to elite skill set with a minimum of 3+ years of club volleyball and 2+ years of club volleyball travel experience. This level will include top level national club team players with an interest in pursuing a collegiate career.

Level III (Advanced)

7th-10th Grade
Players who qualify for our Level III program should have at least 2-5 years of club volleyball and may have 1+ years of club volleyball travel experience. These players are looking to grow their skill set to achieve our Level IV elite training level. Making their school varsity team or a top-level national club team are key areas of interest. While still developing all around players, position becomes more prominent as a focus at this level.

Level II (Intermediate)

6th-8th Grade
Players who qualify for our Level II program should have at least 2-4 years of organized volleyball and at least 1-2 years of club volleyball. These players must have a basic foundation in the six fundamentals of volleyball (serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and digging). The younger age players at this level continue to learn the sport of volleyball and are still exploring growth potential. The older age players at this level are typically looking to grow their skill set to make their school and club teams.
